My new class

I've been meaning to say that my class this year has already been a blessing. As a teacher you can always tell from day one what kind of class you are going to have and I can already tell this is going to be A GOOD YEAR!!!

Hump Day

We have managed to leave the TV off since Sunday. What a feat. I'll tell you it hasn't been easy. I think that we are so use to having it on that I didn't realize that we watched it that much. We found ourselves doing less activities together. I know that sounds strange, but there were some shows that we do enjoy watching as a family. All in all we have had more reflection about how we do spend our time on things in this world that aren't important. This challenge has been eye opening!!

Day one down!!

Well, we made it through the first night of no TV. What did we do? We actually spent more time together, and people that know us already know that we spend a lot if time together. We talked about our day, Steve changed his oil, I had to sew, Lilly and Lee played with Tink and we actually had a good time. We will see what today brings.

What a surprise??

We surprised my sister with a big party the day after her bday. We( her husband) decided to do it after the big day. Needless to say she had no clue, but Friday she did tell them that they would eat cold cereal because she didn't cook on her birthday. We love you anyway!!

Did someone surprise you??

My favorite sister!!

Do the BILS have a little race going on??

Happy Birthday SIL...We love you!!

New Memories

This shirt goes to Linda Collier. She is my dearest friend, and had a mother who loved to sew more than me. I made this piece from an outfit Linda's mom made her when she was younger..we won't say how much younger LOL . She gave it to me for Lilly, but I just couldn't salvage enough of it. So I thought I would incorporate a piece of it into something she can wear any day of the week, and still remember her mom. She is also our Instructional Coordinator and loves to show her school pride! I think the two together will make new memories for her!!!

Times are changing..

I have to laugh out loud about a story that Mrs. Susan Grandey told about a pre-k student she has..they were taking a restroom break and he said he might need some help..well she told him just to call her if he needed her...his response was that "I don't have a cell phone"

Back to school

I know that I do hate to give up my summer, but I also love to teach. The beginning of the year is so important. Those first day back to school jitters aren't only for the students. Wish me luck, and thank you Dad for my new podium!!
